Amnestea Sculpture Update

Back in November, Perfect Setting launched its Great British AmnesTea to raise money for The Donna Louise Children’s Hospice. Customers were encouraged to bring in an old teapot and replace it with a Steelite one for just £10. Although £3 from each teapot sale was given directly to the Hospice, Steelite didn’t want to merely recycle the donated teapots. Instead, we set about designing a sculpture that symbolised Stoke-on-Trent with the hope to locate it somewhere in the city.

Three months on, and Joanna Dawidowska has now started to build the sculpture with a view to have it completed by May 2014. The sculpture will hopefully be located along the part of the canal by Steelite International’s factory as part of a Heritage Trail along with various other pieces of artwork.
